There is no doubt that oil controls the world. Without oil what would the world be? Oil is found everywhere, and in almost every manufacturing company. There would be no trade what-so-ever with airplanes, trains, and boats.
For years ago in 2006, in the state of California, they lesilate passed a law saying they would cut down on the greenhouse effects contributing to global warming. This law is called The Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32).
With every good thing, there comes a "bump in the road". And AB 32's "bump in the road" is Valero Energy----Oil Company.
Valero, teaming up with Tesoro, have already donated over half a million dollars towards destroying AB 32. These two oil-giants are proceeding in spending millions of dollars to collect votes for a November campaign that will remove AB 32, and funding into newer cleaner energy alternatives.
It's our job now, to assure that Valero and Tesoro don't kill off AB 32. The fate of AB 32 is in our hands now. Will you make a difference? Help defeat these giants and sign the petition that could stop the two oil-giants from ruining the greener future here: Defeat Valero and Tesoro.

Save the Loggerhead
What do you think about when you go the supermarket? Maybe, will this be enough food, what are we going to have for dinner? But, I'm pretty sure none of you think about loggerhead sea turtles when you're at the supermarket, right?
The loggerhead is a threatened species. It is 1 of 6 remaining sea turtles species in the United States. What you don't know is that, some of what you buy at the supermarket, ends up in the oceans; that includes plastic bags and six pack rings. More than often these turtles and others mistake plastic bags for jellyfish, one of their prime foods. This will kill them if they end up eating a plastic bag.
In the past decade the loggerhead species has seen a scary decline of its species. In the North Pacific the poplulation of loggerheads has signifantly dropped by 80%. In the Northwest Atlantic, their most popular breeding spot, a decline of 40% has been seen. Tying, these two paragraphs together, in the North Pacific, as some of you might now, there is the infamous North Pacific Gyre. A ginormous mass of trash, collecting a little bit more of trash each day. In this gyre there are plastic bags, and where is the most significant drop of loggerhead sea turtles? Easy, the North Pacific. Coincident? I think not.
Luckily, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife and the National Marine Fisheries Service, have realized this dramatic change and have proposed to change the status of the loggerhead sea turtle, from threatend to endangered. This will shine a ray of hope down on the dwindling species of the loggerhead sea turtle!
Want to make a difference? Sign the petition to change the loggerhead from threatend to endangered here: save the loggerhead sea turtle.

Facebook Making the Wrong Move?
Recently, Facebook announced they may debut a new 'location' feature. Using a smartphone's GPS, you can post on your Facebook page your exact location.
Being a 'non-Facebook' user, this sounds nerve wracking. After the incident of when the girl was kidnapped, due to too much information that was leaked on Facebook, it does not sound good. What worse is there, than a 'tracker' on Facebook, the leading site on information theft. Honestly, it's almost as if Facebook wants, theft to happen. To me, Facebook did not make the right choice this time.
What was once programmed out of a college dorm room, is now a world-wide sensation. Letting friends know what you're doing. And allowing them to comment on pages, leading to the next issue: cyber bullying. Now illegal in Massachusetts and other states, bullying must not be tolerated. After the South Hadley incident, bullying has been increasing, getting worse and worse. On the flip side bullying has become more aware of. Inspiring speeches, protesters, ads, and more. Is Facebook making the wrong move? You tell me.
